Son Of Sathyamurthi
Trivikram Srinivas' 2015 Telugu-language action drama film.
S/O Satyamurthy was written and directed by Trivikram. Allu Arjun, Samantha,
Upendra, Nithya Menen, Sneha, and Adah Sharma appear in the film.
The story centers around three characters: one who follows
his heart, another who uses his intelligence, and a third who uses his
strength. The first is Viraj Anand, the son of a businessman named Satyamurthy
who, after his father's death, transfers his money to creditors. Paida
Sambasiva Rao (the second of the three) is a creditor who is still owing money,
and his daughter Sameera falls in love with Anand. Sambasiva Rao tells Anand
that in order to marry Sameera, he must present evidence of land sold by
Satyamurthy to a landlord, Devaraj Naidu (the third of the three). The
remainder of the film concentrates on the ramifications of Anand and Sambasiva
Rao's shift of attitude toward Satyamurthy.
The film was originally intended to be a multilingual film
shot in Tamil, Malayalam, and Telugu. The producers chose to film it in Telugu
and then dub it into Malayali. Principal photography in Hyderabad began on
September 22, 2014, and lasted until March 2015.
S/O Satyamurthy grossed 900 million dollars on a $400
million budget. It is currently ranked eighth on the all-time list of
highest-grossing Telugu films worldwide. Allu Arjun became the first Telugu
actor to earn more than 500 million globally from two consecutive films.
