Movie info-

Soldiers from the year 2051 appear on the pitch via a time vortex during the World Cup. They claim that aliens known as Whitespikes emerged in Russia in 2048 and wiped out most humans.

As a result, the world's current militaries are dispatched into the future via a wormhole device known as the "Jump link," but only about a third of them survive their seven-day deployment, triggering a worldwide draft.

Emmy, his wife, wants them and their daughter, Muri, to flee. Dan reluctantly visits his estranged father, James, in order to have his draft wristband removed.

After returning from the Vietnam War, James abandoned Dan and his mother, believing himself to be too dangerously unstable to be with them. Dan reports for basic training, fearful that removing the armband will result in punishment against his family.

Dan and fellow draftee Charlie, a scientist, discovers that most recruits are aged as they are briefed by future troops. The reason that draftees are likely chosen is that they will die before the future war begins, avoiding a paradox.

The draftees are transported back in time to a battleground on Miami Beach, however, only a handful make it through the first drop. Their commander instructs the draftees to save adjacent lab staff before sterilizing the area, despite the fact that the city has already been lost. The draftees discover that all of the lab employees have died, but they are able to retrieve their findings. Only Dan, Charlie, and battle-tested draftee Dorian (on his third deployment) make it through the Whitespikes and the bombardment.

Muri Forester, Dan's now-adult daughter, is his commander. A toxin kills male Whitespikes but not female queens, which are rarer and more dangerous. Muri needs Dan's assistance in capturing a female Whitespike.

They manage to capture a female, but hundreds of guys arrive at their location. While the female is being transported by chopper, Muri is questioned about what happened to him in a previous timeline.

Muri creates a toxin that kills female Whitespikes and instructs Dan to take it back in time and produce it there. Shortly after Dan's return, the Jumplink is destroyed, which the world sees as a sign that the conflict is lost.

The Whitespikes have been on Earth since 946 AD, and global warming has allowed them to emerge from beneath the polar ice caps. Dan and Charlie seek advice from Dan's pupil, an amateur volcanologist, after discovering volcanic ash on an alien's spike.

Other extraterrestrial aliens slain in the disaster brought the Whitespike as a prospective bioweapon to wipe worlds of life, the team discovers within the spacecraft. The toxin is injected into a few hibernating Whitespikes, which kills them but awakens the remainder of the colony. Before escaping, the queen Whitespike hatches and murders the majority of the crew members. While Dan and James follow the queen, Dorian, who is dying of cancer, stays behind and blows up the ship. Dan shoves the poisonous venom down the queen's throat, killing her after a fierce fight. Dan, James, and Charlie are the only ones that make it out alive.

Dan brings James home to meet Emmy and Muri, content with the knowledge that the war has been avoided and humanity has been saved, and he is resolved to avoid the same mistakes that the future Muri warned him about.
